1. Service

ScanMyTerms is an online tool that accepts a contract file or photo and returns an automated risk-oriented summary (the “Report”). The Service is provided for general informational purposes only.

2. Not legal advice

The Service and every Report are not legal advice, do not create an attorney–client or lawyer–client relationship, and are not a substitute for advice from a qualified lawyer licensed in the relevant jurisdiction. You remain solely responsible for any decision you make after reading a Report.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for the accuracy of materials you upload. Anyone with a Report link can open that Report, so share the link only with people you trust.

4. Fees and payment

A limited free preview may be offered. A full Report is charged as a one-time fee of USD 5 per document (or the price shown at checkout). Fees are charged when you confirm purchase. Except where required by mandatory law, payments are non-refundable once a full Report has been generated and delivered.

5. Your content and licence

You retain ownership of documents you upload. You grant us a limited licence to process, store, and analyse them solely to provide the Service and comply with law. Do not upload content you are not allowed to share.

6. Acceptable use

You must not: (a) use the Service for unlawful purposes; (b) attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or overload the Service; (c) upload malware or content that infringes others’ rights; or (d) resell Reports as legal advice.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, software, branding, and Report format are owned by us or our licensors. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive licence to use your purchased Report for your own internal purposes.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE AND REPORTS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. Automated analysis may be incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR A REPORT IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THAT REPORT IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (OR USD 5 IF YOU PAID NOTHING).

10. Indemnity

You will indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising from your use of the Service, your uploaded content, or your reliance on a Report, except to the extent caused by our wilful misconduct.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or if required for security or legal reasons. Sections that by nature should survive (including 2, 7–10, 12–13) survive termination.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. Disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of Bandung, Indonesia, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections that cannot be waived.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms by posting a new version on this page. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
