Check a platform's terms before you rely on it
Sellers, creators and small teams build on platforms whose terms can change overnight. Paste the terms and ScanMyTerms shows the clauses that decide when you get paid and when you get cut off.
What it flags
Suspension at the platform's sole discretion
No notice, no reason, no appeal.
Payouts held or offset
Reserves and chargebacks can freeze your balance for months.
Fees changed by posting new terms
Continued use counts as acceptance.
A broad license to your content
Worldwide, royalty-free and sometimes irrevocable.
Forced arbitration and class-action waiver
Disputes go to private arbitration, often abroad.
Liability capped at fees paid
Often a few dollars, whatever the platform's error cost you.
Questions
Is my contract stored?
Not the file: it's normally read in your browser, and photos are read and discarded, never stored. The text is usually erased as soon as the scan finishes. The report, which quotes short passages from your contract, is deleted 7 days after it's created.
What does it cost?
The risk count and the first two findings are free. The full report is a one-time $5 per document, with no subscription.
Is this legal advice?
No. ScanMyTerms flags commercial risks so you know what to question. For anything significant, talk to a qualified lawyer.
